Hello!!!!! Happy (very cold) winter! This morning I had to dump a bucket of hot water on my car door just to get it open... I think at that moment I finally accepted the fact that I had to wear a coat outside, and that it was too cold to leave my bedroom window open all night. Sigh... But man I love it!
Hmmmm what's happened recently...A lot! But let's go back a few weeks.
Our first winter cabin trip got CANCELLED! We went up Saturday morning and were going to spend the night, but the storm got out of control and Ty's dad suggested we leave :( Otherwise we would be snowed-in and wouldn't be able to drive home. (I kinda wanted that to happen, ha ha) Anyway. For the few hours we were there we had fun! Being cozy, playing games, watchin movies, and doing NOTHING! It's the best.
If you ever get a wild hair and feel really adventurous, go eat Ethiopian food! Ha ha ha. We went to an Ethiopian restaurant and it was pretty good! I guess sitting on the ground and actually eating with your hands isn't really "the thing to do" here. But we did it anyway, everyone thought we were crazy. We sat in this little wicker table and chair set and had this huge platter of yummy brought out to us. It really was fun. I think you just gotta get out and do stuff like that once in a while!
"I wanna rock... ROCK!"
These have been on Facebook, but I have to share a few photos from a photo shoot I got to work on. We shot it at The Heavy Metal Shop, and it was so much fun. I was in charge of wardrobe, and we went for a sort of hot/glam/sexy rocker chic look. So I pretty much just told them what to wear. They brought stuff, I brought stuff, and we pieced together some pretty sweet outfits. This was a blast and I enjoyed hangin with these lovely ladies for a few hours! I'm happy to be picking up an artsy hobby finally.
Gobble Gobble! We had a few great Thanksgivings! We did a dinner with my mom, Ty's mom, and Grandma/Grandpa Craners. They were all lovely. I'm so happy I have all these people!
The Christmas tree. Oh boy, that tree. I kinda got in trouble for not having the right reaction when Ty dragged this TWELVE foot tree into the house. I was really worried we would have to cut like half of it off just to put it up. But, we moved the living room around and we were able to fit it! All 12 feet of it :) I love getting a real tree. And Ty is always really proud because he picks and cuts it down himself. Now if the damn cat would just leave it alone, and not make me re-hang all the ornaments on it every day. ;)
Happy Wedding Day Gram! One more shout out to my Grama...who is in Hawaii right now (SO JEALOUS!). She and Dennis got married November 29th, and then we had a nice lunch and Mimi's for all the family and friends. Congratulations again!
Project Linus blankies...We got together at Ty's mom's to tie some fleece blankets. We had treats, wine and some girl talk :)
Along with the tree, we got our lights up! I think there was a good lesson learned, do not buy a ten dollar staple gun :) It may cause anger and swearing... ha ha. Yayyy lights!
My leafy sleevy tattoo is finished! I spent another 2 hours with Sarah at ONI tattoo and we got it done. We added some smaller leaves and did another layer of color. I'm so in love! Thank you to all who pitched in for my birthday to help me finish this!
Lots of birthdays to celebrate! We had Beth, Nellie and I all within weeks of each other. Dan and Beth took all of us up to Stein Erikson lodge in Park City for brunch! Oh my god it was good, I think had 50 pounds of smoked salmon! It was super fancy and delicious, and Park City was beautiful to see. Thank you so much!
Last night we went to Festival of Trees for my birthday. I have never been there and I was AMAZED! I can't believe how many beautiful trees they have. Ty's family did a tree, and I also saw a tree in memory of one of my former co-workers. It was sad/happy/amazing all at once. We had fun, especially when we found the fudge! :) Love you guys!
