Happy Hauntings everyone! We have had so much fun these last couple weeks with all the stuff going on! I love love love it.
For starters...I made it through my first session of my leafy-sleeve! Sarah at ONI is absolutely amazing...not only that, but she is hilarious and a blast to hang out with for a few hours. She did such a great job, seriously. I was very unsure and she just worked her magic. She read my mind, and I'm in love with it! Now, parents: I've made my birthday and Christmas SO easy for you! My next session is December 18th... so any donations for that will be appreciated :) Anyway, I love it so so much! Can't wait to finish up.
Getting started! OWCH OWCH OWCH... forgot how much that hurts!
All outlined! This always scares me, it's all bloody and ugly, ha ha
Annnnnnnnd 3 hours later! She is such an artistic goddess.
Oh man. So in love!
Witches Night Out at Gardener Village!! I love getting together with all these ladies and just relaxing, chatting, eating, dancing this time, ha ha ha.... SO FUN!
Ash and Matt's Halloween Party! This is pretty much Halloween for us, the only time we dress up. It's the event of the year :) We were slackers this year, and didn't make a final decision on our costumes until a few days before the party. We decided to to Watchmen, because Ty could transform into a crazy character! Mine was easy. So that was that, Silk Spectre and Dr. Manhatten! I am so happy how well Ty's cap and face makeup turned out! So cool!
Got the cap glued on! This was the HARDEST thing ever...And we'd never tried a bald cap before, so we did it with YouTube :)
Crazy, scary contacts Ty got online!
Ahhhhh crazy! Turned out so good!
Woo hoo! Happy Halloween! :)
Thanks to the super chilly-ness, our garden is pretty much dead. Except Ty brought this cantaloupe in the other night, it was SO close to being ripe! I bet just a few more weeks and it could've been eat-worthy! Dang :( Next year I will eat one!
Of course, kitty has to be in on this action...
Smelled like a pumpkin, but still so cool!
Everyone is asking me about my new job....it is going SOOOOO well. I am really happy working here. I've already had my share of "awkward" manager incidents happen, and that's going to be hard to get used to. Those conversations bosses have to have with their staff, just because they are "in charge"...yeah, not a fan of that yet :) Or all the meetings...what the hell is with all these meetings?! Oh well :) I am meeting a ton of new faces, and getting involved, and that's good for me!
Speaking of starting the new job, I have to brag a little about Ty for a second. We hadn't really done anything to celebrate my new job or anything. I didn't care all that much, I was too scared to really even think about anything like that. But at the end of my first week, on Friday, I came home to a huge Halloween baskety thing sitting on the living room floor. Wrapped up all cute like a giant gift basket. (I WISH I took a picture of it damnit!) But inside, was a new fuzzy blanket, a new Halloween rug for the front door, and this adorable zombie gnome I have wanted FOREVER from Smiths! Ty took the time to go out and pick out all these little things, and put it all together into a big gift for me. I cried and cried!! He is the sweetest person in the world. He knows how much I love Halloween stuff around the house, and I LOVE getting new blankets...because our dogs destroy them all. This was so much more thoughtful and planned out than just sending me flowers. I was so touched, and it reminded me how lucky I am. He really is the best :) We then finished out the night ordering pizza and having a Harry Potter movie fest! Wow, seriously, I can't think of a better celebration. Thank you babe, I love you with all my heart and soul. I'm so happy to be yours!
