It might be a bit much, but I'm trying to update my blog about once a week. There isn't a ton of exciting, over-the-top, bloggy stuff to write about, but it keeps me in check. Writing helps me reflect, and really think about stuff...the goods, the bads, the everything. Which is why I have always had a diary to write in. Not for anyone to see, but just for me...maybe to make sure I haven't gone insane yet? To make sure I can still spell and write well? I dunno :) Hopefully you get a smile or laugh out of it.
Last Friday we went to our first haunted house of the season, yay. They are always all the same to me, but it was funny to see Ash and Mac fall scared on their butts, here Kenzie scream, and see some of the new stuff the haunted house-makers can come up with. And of course, Ty's a freak and just laughed the entire time...that kid loves to be scared. We had fun :)
On Saturday we went to my fave of all faves, Oktoberfest!! We finally did the jager ski, and that pretty much made my day. Ty got a bigger stein, and that made him happy. We got to see some pretty leaves, and snow :) I love taking those drives and just looking at all the beauty. Rain, snow, shine, clouds, whatever. It makes me happy and thankful that I live somewhere with all the seasons, it's always something different, always exciting. I'm never bored. And I can't believe I live so close to so much prettyness.
And lastly for today, the new job-gig-thing...is really really awesome. I was super nervous about working at LDS. I am so used to working in "newer" facilities, and the older ones kinda scared me. But here, there's such a nice sense of community and family. Everyone is so friendly and nice, you can feel that energy here. I am still nervous about being in this leadership position, where you can influence so much. I've always been a leader at work, that's my personality. But to be official, TERRIFYING! I don't love the drive here, I get lost every single day...however, I am loving it so far. I have an unnecessarily huge office, a really great team, and new opportunities ahead. I have to say again that I'm thankful. I'm just eating up all the positives right now. And hopefully I can be a great resource for these guys here. I just gotta get passed the fact that everyone here is at least 20 years older than me, and they still have a laundry shoot! Ha ha ha...
It's like when we first moved in to our house, get SOMETHING on those walls before I go crazy!! :)
And, I just had to show you. This is just my favorite. I feel like I have worked my freakin' butt off to be here. So it's nice to finally be moving up. Ahhhh :)
And, Walt wanted me to tell you.....
HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!!!!!!
